COVID-19 INFORMATION
Breakthrough Healthcare receives daily updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Hospital Association (AHA), the Federation of American Hospitals (FAH), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), our group purchasing organization (GPO) partner, and several state/local public health agencies. We coordinate across all of our lines of business to incorporate this guidance into our practices. This page will be updated as we have additional information to share.
Our priority is to protect our clients and employees from exposure to this virus by a measured, science based series of interventions. Currently, none of our clients or employees have been infected with COVID-19. We have a robust screening process conducted prior to accepting clients. We have
processes to verbally screen, identify and document all individuals – employees, visitors, and vendors – who have recently travelled, and temporarily (currently 14 days) prohibit entry to those who have returned from an endemic area, have worked without full protective personal equipment (PPE) in a setting with a known COVID-19 patient, have had close contact with a CDC-identifed Person Under Investigation (PUI)
or a person under formal CDC directed voluntary quarantine.
